Lettering 2023
A series of lettering pieces done through that year, mainly by using procreate but sometimes using only analog art supplies.
Su
19 january 2023: A lettering piece of "Su", which just happens to be the Euskera word for "fire".
Pyrocene
18 August 2023: Tenerife is burning. Hawaii is burning. Many other forests in the world, less known to Westerners, are also burning right now. Professor Stephen J. Pyne thinks that we've entered the Pyrocene, a new phase of the anthropocene characterised by violent forest fires. Once this phase has started, it's almost impossible to stop it, and climate warming it's only one of its factors. In order to reduce its effects, it would be necessary to rethink forest management and fire prevention altogether. More information about the pyrocene.
Canarias lettering tags
Custom lettering tags for each one of the Canary Islands, each one taking the same height but with different ligatures and styles.
El Hierro
La Restinga, Tigaday and Tacorón are all places in El Hierro, a tiny island of the Canary Islands.
FRITOS... DE CALOR
When the heat goes up, the sleep goes down! Playing with use of negative space, two point perspective and irregular letters halfway between type and lettering. Programs used: Affinity Designer, Glyphs (for the letters) and a bit of Photoshop for the textures. Cheers!
