Lettering 2025

Custom lettering pieces from 2025.

Lettering piece displaying the word Bruxelles in an art-nouvea-ish script style, with a heavy underline, green to red colours (like a chili pepper rippening), heavily textured paper background, lots of hand-drawn reflections and the word BXL (styled like a graffiti tag) written on the underline.

Bruxelles

Lettering piece dedicated to the city, a mix between art nouveau and graffiti, rippening like a hot chile.

Weird numbers with teeth and eyes form the year 1984 in red and black, also a sign looking like the number 101 is present.

1984

A tribute to the novel 1984 (and to room 101) and to the nice, dystopian times we're living through.

The words Vagina Dentata shown as an experimental lettering piece with lots of branches and teeth, some letters look like inky caps mushrooms while others look like shark heads or Venus fly traps. The letters look very organic and are spread across the square background taking most of the available space. There are cracks and spilt blood on the floor. It's very violent.

Vagina dentata

"Vagina dentata" is the ages-long myth of a vagina with teeth. Once a symbol of misogyny (as in, prejudice against women), it has been appropiated by some feminists as a symbol women's empowerment (see: Éditions Dentata, for instance).

The words 'STOP WAR!' in bold letters, the second word is written in the spaces between or inside the letters of the first word. They look like they're painted on a decrepit wall, graffiti style, but they were actually drawn by hand and then photo composed with wall textures.

STOP WAR!

Lettering piece built on the hope of a peaceful future for Ukraine. Hand drawn with pencil on paper, with lots of custom textures and photo processing trickery on top.

Black and white graphite pencil sketch featuring the words 'game over' on a dotted white background..
Orange and blue lettering piece with heavily calligraphic and a bit unreadable letters spelling the words 'game over' on a textured background that looks like grainy paper.

Game Over

Lettering piece with complementary colours and hard drop shadows (original sketch and finished piece).

Blue and red script lettering with the phrase 'Este huevo quiere sal' above an illustration of an egg with a bright yellow yolk looking hopefully towards some falling salt. The letters have lots of reflections. The background is white and looks a bit like a paper napkin.

Este huevo quiere sal

One of my favourite phrases from the Canary Islands ;) Procreate lettering and Photoshop textures.

An irregular stamp on a black background, inside of it the phrase 'Vete por la sombrita' can be seen in a medieval-looking script, over an illustration of a two faced sun (one face is worried, the other, akin to the moon, is smiling mischievously). Other common elements of sundials are seen such as numerals, gnomon and the gnomon's shadow.

Vete por la sombrita

One of the favourite phrases of mothers in the Canary Islands combined with a design inspired by French sun dials, but entirely my own. Based on a sundial obsession from this last few years, this lettering and illustration piece gathers several common elements of those objects, by mixing analog (stamp) and digital techniques (Procreate brushes).

A stamp design featuring the words 'Port du Havre' in letters of different colours inspired by port signs and architecture, on the bottom of the stamp a line of various boats sailing towards the land can be seen, digital illustration.

Port du Havre

Port du Havre, a stamp design dedicated to this industrial port, with some irregular letters inspired by a sign found in Normandy and by the shapes of port infrastructure. On the bottom of the stamp one can see a line of boats sailing towards the Cap D'Antifer, which is located beyond the route for the port's mouth, along the coast. Tools used: Procreate, Photoshop, FilterForge.

Peach-tinted complex 3D-looking lettering piece that says 'Sweat' through convoluted and bulbous letter shapes.
Process picture of digital graffiti piece showing a pencil sketch above, a vector tracing of the lettering piece in the middle and an orange 3D render of the letters. The lettering piece says 'Sweat' through convoluted and bulbous letter shapes.

SWEAT

Digital graffiti piece, sketched during the summer of 2024 and developed through autumn 2025. Techniques used: graphite pencil sketch, vector tracing with Glyphs, 3D sculpting with Blender (Cycles render), composition and effects with Photoshop.

Sign reading Santa Cristina in a highly decorative font, with a typographic dagger below in the shape of a cross and two fangs on either side of the dagger with a little bit of blood. In the corners there are 3D ornaments that look like embroidery.

Santa Cristina

Santa Cristina is a place in the north of Gran Canaria. This is the imaginary poster for a vampire movie that could have been filmed there. Techniques and tools: pencil sketch, lettering in Procreate, ornament drawing in Aseprite, ornament extrusion in Blender, composition in Photoshop with texture photographs, and fang drawing with gouache paint.
